St. Bernard Project

The St Bernard Project is a grassroots organization that connects families in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana with vital resources that help them to get back on their feet and restart their lives after the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Families in St. Bernard Parish lost everything in September 2005: houses were destroyed, personal possessions were ruined, personal and professional networks were dissolved.  Hampered by myriad barricades, many families are unable to begin the rebuilding process.  The St. Bernard Project will provide direct assistance funds for employment, transportation, education related expenses - essential costs that will enable families to effectively rebuild their lives.
