Dream Weavers
Dream Weavers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
preserving, recovering, and promoting indigenous and shamanic dreaming
practices. Through our dreams we learn how to live in a sacred
way with All Our Relations; through the dreaming we learn the unique
gifts and destiny of each person who dwells here; through dreaming we
learn to restore the harmony and balance of the universe, to heal the
heart of the world we live in, to create a world of greater justice,
peace, and love for all.
Dream Weavers' goals include:
- Providing community education about the variety of dreaming
practices
and functions, and restoring the conception of dreaming as a sacred
practice capable of world healing;
- Supporting the creation of media that recover, explore, and
deepen
ancient dreaming traditions;
- Training the Dreamers to work with dreams as tools for healing
and
spiritual growth for themselves and their communities;
- Creating a Dream Healing Center where people who are afflicted
and ill can come to seek a dream that will open up a path of healing
for them;
- Promoting global sharing of dreaming wisdom between cultures and
countries that will over time lead to the creation of a global dreaming
community;
- Using dreaming as a map for creating more nourishing and
sustainable
ways of living, particularly fostering peaceful, respectful, and
collaborative forms of existence among all beings.
