Our project mission, vision and objective statement is to promote youth development advocacy through educational training, and organizing that is girl focused and girl driven through our interactive web based website, "AspiringGirls&YoungWomen.Org" We believe that all girls and young women should have the opportunity to achieve their potential and live in a safe, just and healthy community. Our core value is girl gender specific with a broad range of experiences educationally that seeks to assist them in their strengths - that is recognized, supported, and encouraged to grow - can enable them, and through their communities thrive. We must look at these core values through gender lens. Administrators and laws will change when you empower girls and young women to use their voices so they can be heard. We will educate them to develop a diverse leadership and a spirit of advocacy for girls and young women human rights. Our theory of social change as it is defined by the "Communication For Social Change Consortium," as we have applied it to the girl gender "a positive change in girls and young women lives - as they themselves define such change." The theory considers girls and young women within their particular social contexts and focuses on their participation within their own communities as key to sustainable change.
Girls and young women's ability to grow as healthy and fulfilled community members depends, at least in part, on the extent to which they interact with "opportunities/experience" which assist them in creating, enhancing and taking ownership of their many talents and insights. This can be further seen as they interact with more helpful healthy opportunities and learning experiences that our interactive web base website provides as this is one of our project goals.
This is an investment in a project that promises to promote the development of strong capable leaders dedicated to social change through positive interactive educational training and experiences from our interactive web based website. This interactive website targets girls and young women, ages 10 to 18, who are primarily minorities; African-Americans, Hispanics, Native American, and/or disabled; economically disadvantaged/poor.
We propose an innovative interactive website that introduces a new educational learning model that is gender specific for girls and young women everywhere in the U.S. Our interactive website shall be comprehensively broad focused and structured to capture areas that foster holistic real life ideas in subject areas identified herein that can lead to social change nationally. Our approach is systemic, innovative and unique in that our interactive website promises to develop a program learning model in many subject areas that is new in instructural learning design which is gender specific for girls and young women for grades K-5 through K-12. We selected the best characteristic from instructural learning model for girls and young women. Existing interactive websites as there are several, however few are gender specific and those that are gender specific, the subject areas are not comprehensively educational with lots of resources for girls and young women in their communities as "AspiringGirls&YoungWomen.Org" promises. This is a creative strategy that addresses and identifies gaps in current services as it is a new approach to address unmet needs in our communities. This interactive website is multidisciplinary as we take a holistic view to serve girls and young women. There are systemic barriers faced by girls and young women and through such projects as this one, we have started a design to meet those needs. There are some promising existing interactive websites for girls and young women, however there are gaps that we fill coupled with passion and a strong skilled set, girls' project staff and advocates that afford us the opportunity to best provide comprehensive and effective service for our interactive website as "Girls & Young Women Who Aspire To Succeed" we succeed in the venture. Some of the most promising interactive websites are servicing as springboards for our project, "AspiringGirls&YoungWomen.Org"
